Tonight I am staying in Front Royal, Va, the beginning of the Skyline Parkway, which turns into the Blue Ridge parkway about 50 miles down the road.  The speed limit is 35mpg,  so the next days will be leisurely which is good.. it is very hot here as seems to be all over the country. Yesterday, I hit very heavy rain in PA, then got into Scranton only to discover this was the weekend of the Pocono 500 car race and there was  no room at any INN.   I proceeded in my still wet state to Wilkes-Barre and finally got settled into a $100 a night room.  Well, luckily today I found a Mom and -Pop motel for much less. It is not elegant but clean!

  I am planning on spending the  next two days on the parkways.  I was on it once before for about 15 min.  That was about as long as my husband liked going that slower speed!  Now I can do it leiaurely and will take many pics,  although may have to wait to send them when I have as stronger signal.. In the meantime, thanks to all for your prayers and keeping track of my travels.. Have been getting several thumbs up on the road and talked with several at rest areas... It has been a very intersting trip...till later then,,,vg
