Dena's Story
Dena's mother, Karen, passed away in January 2006 after a 14 year battle with breast cancer. UBCF has named Dena Z. of Long Island, NY a 2006 recipient of the Audrey B. Mastroianni Scholarship & is honored to help Dena acheive her greatest potential as a student & artist. "Assistance from The United Breast Cancer Foundation has had an immense impact on my student life. The extra funds have made various projects possible. It has given me the opportunity to attain higher quality supplies, and more materials for my art works. Cultural and inspirational trips into NYC in the form of museums, art galleries, art installations, and studios are now possible for me when they hardly ever were before. I have experienced a significant reduction of stress thanks to UBCF, and my achievements as an artist have been considerably enhanced." | Tucker's StoryMy Grandmother had breast cancer - the fact that she had it puts me at a higher risk. When I felt a lump in my breast, I didn't want to deal with it and prayed that it would just 'go away.' God didn't make it disappear, but He did send me an angel. Call or Click |
