UBCF Provides Grant to the Los Angeles Free ClinicReleased: Tuesday, April 8, 2008UBCF PROVIDES GRANT TO THE LOS ANGELES FREE CLINIC The United Breast Cancer Foundation has recently named the Los Angeles Free Clinic a 2008 UBCF Grant recipient. The LA Free Clinic is located at 8405 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048. UBCF funds will assist the LA Free Clinic in ensuring that every client receives appropriate services for the early detection of breast cancer, regardless of the client’s ability to pay for such services. The grant provided by UBCF will assist in covering medical exams and clinical screenings, breast ultrasounds, diagnostic mammographies, screening mammographies, fine needle aspirations, needle guided ultrasounds, as well as core biopsies. The grant will also assist in funding the development of an out reach plan and educational materials The LA Free clinic, founded in 1967, is the oldest continuously operating free clinic in the United States. The clinic’s Women’s Health Services program includes primary care visits, chronic disease management, specialized medical care for adolescents, screenings for breast cancer, cervical cancer and osteoporosis. | Sioux's StoryI have always been fastidious about getting an annual mammogram.
